It's been a while since I popped down to #guscarrocks for a wander. Right next top the rocks, very much in the #intertidal section my eye caught a jaw with black teeth stuck in the mud. Expecting it to be a recently deceased cow or sheep I lifted it with my finger but it appears to be more solid and fossilised rather than anything too recent.
So is it a red deer (they used to roam this way) or more likely a cow or sheep? Over to you..
According to an expert in the field it is indeed most likely from a red deer.
